It is a natural reaction to look to God when we are facing impending doom.
When 3 armies were joining forces to attack King Jehoshaphat, he prayed, “O
God…we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not
know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” 2Chronicles 20:12
Jehoshaphat won every military battle he ever engaged in, however, he formed
ungodly alliances and allowed the altars of other gods to remain in the land. His
compromises were his ultimate demise and his final testimony.
What would Jehoshaphat’s testimony have been? …what could our testimony
be, if our eyes were always on God?
