WMU Sectional Meeting, March 18, Calvary A/G
This quarterly meeting for women will begin at 7:00pm and will have a Hawaiian theme and dress. Missionary Lois Breit who has a ministry to single moms will be the speaker. Special guests will be our STR8 UP Dance Team and Praise Hula with Jacqui Smith. If you can come, please notify Moe Brown or Heidi Morris to arrange transportation.

The annual Walk to Remember, a look at the crucifixion of Christ, will be three nights this year. It will take place on the outdoor campus of the church on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights at 6:30 each night. This is a dramatic presentation of the events of the last days of Jesus’ life.

Our annual Easter Jubilee will be Saturday, April 3. This fun morning includes games, crafts, activities and ends with a hugh Easter Egg Hunt on the SBCC property. Everyone is invited-bring children from your neighborhood.

Cambodian New Year’s Outreach in LA

We have been invited to participate in an outreach to the Cambodian community in LA at their New Year’s celebration, April 10. Our youth dance team will be going for the day. Missionaries, Sopheak and Army Kheng, also indicated they could use some people to help with the children’s activity tent. Our youth participated last year and thought it was very successful and a worthwhile way to present the Gospel.

Youth Camp will precede Family Camp and run through the end of Family Camp. The cost for the entire week is $125 per person. The youth will have fund raisers to help with expenses.

We have reserved our places at Pt. Mugu for Family Camp again this year. This is a highlight of the summer, especially for those who enjoy camping. We have a beautiful spot at Big Sycamore Canyon Park on the ocean just north of Malibu. Spaces are limited, however, so you need to begin now to make your reservations for the camp.
The cost is $50 per person or $185 for families of four or more. This includes campsite and all food and drink. It does NOT include parking fees which are $10 per day. We need 50% deposit by May 1 to hold your spot and it must be paid in full by July 4th. There will be no credit offered and no refunds.
